I am Marcos Antil, Guatemalan, Mayan Q’anjob’al, immigrant, family man, tech entrepreneur, founder of the company XumaK in the United States, Colombia and Guatemala. Having had clients in more than twenty-five countries, which include companies from the Fortune 500. Born and raised in Santa Eulalia, Huehuetenango, Guatemala; at fourteen I migrated, undocumented and unaccompanied by any family member to the United States of America, fleeing the war - just as thousands of children from the region continue attempting today in order to flee poverty, hunger and criminal violence. I went to high school and university in California. I worked as a gardener on weekends, and that is how I found an unexpected link into the technology industry. Taking this path led me to overcome limits that seemed impossible, transforming my reality, that of my family and that of my community.
