Marvin Wilmes is a former Marine, journalist, human services professional, and a 16-year cancer survivor. He writes from faith, grief, resilience, and hope, shaping a voice rooted in Catholic belief. His latest release is Rising Beyond Hope: A Memoir of Grief, Loss, and Faith. He advances the Odyssey of Hope series with his next release, Chronicles of Hope: A Memoir of Survival, Perseverance, and Redemption. Marvin has also authored a spiritual fantasy, A Quest for Freedom. A native of Missouri, he set down roots in Iowa in 1987 and resides in Boone, Iowa with his wife, Lori.
