Mary Lou Cheatham and her daughter Christie Marie Underwood collaborated to craft a modern romantic comedy, Love and Laughter in Ransom Canyon. They spent two years in their daily walks around Ransom Canyon, Texas, devising schemes that would be included. When it finally came time to write the novel, the words appeared fast on the page, and the story practically wrote itself.
Mary Lou is a well-known author who penned a best-selling novel, The Dream Bucket. Her writing style includes historical family novels and contemporary romances. She has written a romcom in the current language with Christie. They have enjoyed word crafting set in today’s world.
Christie loves animals and people. She enjoys taking long walks in the community with her husband Brandt and visiting neighbors along their way. She also likes fishing, water skiing—all things aquatic. Christie helps Brandt with house projects to keep her home up to date.
