Melissa Rose Harris is an ordained Interfaith Minister with master's degrees in both Counseling and Divinity. A lifelong seeker of wisdom and meaning, she found a home in the mystical origins of the world’s teachings, inspired by ancient truths in which we find our deepest wisdom within us.
Melissa wrote Where Our Humanity Meets Our Divinity because she believes we are at a junction in humanity where traditional religion is missing the mark of the evolving needs of humans. She sees that collectively, we are looking for a new paradigm, a way that reveals the union within us and all of creation.
Melissa is married to Tim Harris. They are avid sports fans who live with their silly Boxer, Ziva, in West Des Moines, Iowa. She enjoys swimming, hiking, and yoga, all of which she considers to be forms of meditation as well as physical activity.
