Michael Herbert is an interventionist, professional coach, and addiction counselor with over 35 years of experience. He began his career at Inter Care LTD in NYC, then worked at the Caron Foundation and Futures Healthcare as a clinical strategist.
His international work spans Cairo, Egypt, and Cape Town, South Africa, Kenya and Ethiopia, developing addiction counseling programs and prevention initiatives.
Michael has consulted for Columbia Tri-Star television and developed programming for the NY Theological Seminary for Children at Risk and The Dance Theater of Harlem.
He founded African Hopeful Horizons providing educational resources for remote African communities. An avid adventurer and beekeeper, Michael completed a 155-mile ultra-marathon across the Sahara Desert and has traveled to over 40 countries, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro at 63.
Michael continues to work with individuals, families, and groups, combining professional expertise with real-world adventure and international humanitarian work.
