I was a straight arrow. My high school health teacher said smoking and drinking would cause health problems, so I didn’t imbibe. Getting a girl pregnant was immoral, so I stayed away from dating and even sex. The only hot thing I had in my youth was a ’65 Mustang convertible. I was supposed to inherit the family Army Surplus store business, buy a tract home, and go to dances to find someone to marry. None of that worked out either. I ended up traveling the road alone for years, then came back to no future. So I drifted back to college. My father thought I was wasting my time becoming a teacher. I thought so too, but nothing else was working. I look back now. The timeline of my life was a road to a calling.
