Michael Merino grew up in Tampa, Florida. He developed a writing career late in life when a girlfriend harassed him about his inability to take a stance on issues. Pursuing continued love prompted him to send numerous “Letters to the Editor” based on recent national and local events. As a result, his work was widely accepted. This success propelled him to a few years as a human-interest reporter at the award-winning Tampa Bay Times. His life-long desire to understand what makes humans tick serves as a driving force in his first book.
