Michael T. Smith is a storyteller, author, conference speaker, and consultant. He is a Lover of Wisdom, dedicated to advancing the cause of Justice in his generation and beyond. Known for his humorous, vulnerable, and nuanced approach, Michael writes and speaks on complex spiritual and social issues near and dear to his heart, including relationships, human dignity, race & racism, sex & sexuality, Christ-consistent doctrine, and the beauty of childhood.
In 2020, after three decades in pulpit ministry, Michael launched Nothing Else Matters, a 150-episode treatise on the state of the declining Church and the ongoing need for Reformation. In 2024, he created The Church of______, a new approach to activating all people of Goodwill wishing to channel their religious energy into creating a more just and humane world.
Michael has received multiple awards and citations for his work in addressing systemic racism, generational poverty, and violence. He currently resides in Atlanta with his bestie, Connie, and their two children.
