A lifelong lover of stories, MIKE MARSBERGEN lives in Keswick, a small Canadian town where not much happens, located slightly north of Toronto, a big city where quite a bit happens. He spent his late twenties living halfway around the world in the beautiful subtropical city of Auckland, New Zealand—which is where he’d live if he had an unlimited-money cheat code in life. Or citizenship.
Two teachers are to blame for pushing him firmly onto the path of storytelling. In Grade 7, Ms. Brennan gave him the “Most Creative Stories Award,” and in Grade 12, Mr. Baird challenged him to write something other than weird comedy. So he wrote his first horror story.
He once managed SAGE THE GODDESS, a rapper and R&B singer on the rise in Toronto.
For ten years MIKE MARSBERGEN helped compile TEVUN-KRUS, a free-to-read monthly e-zine on Wattpad dedicated to sci-fi and speculative fiction. He contributed to countless issues over the years while developing his craft, with well over a hundred short stories and novellas to his name.
He released his first book, ANOTHER LIFE AND OTHER MINDBENDING SCI-FI STORIES, back in November 2024. He followed this up in December 2025 with IMAGINE ARTIFICIAL: A SCI-FI HORROR STORY, and LONER-STYLE JUSTICE: A JOSEPH TUGGER NOVELLA, a comedy/mystery released in January 2026.
