I started writing to challenge myself. As a teacher, I never wanted to forget that uncomfortable feeling my students had coming to a new classroom. Every summer I chose something I had never done before and in 2015, it was writing a novel. I loved it and have been writing ever since.
I have written in several genres, but my favorite right now is cozy mystery. HOWEVER, I was not in love with the idea of writing about murder, so my 67 year old Granny Appleton solves other types of crime instead. She is funny, quirky, and nosy. There are elements of her that I see in myself, with a pinch of character from some of my favorite people, too.
