N. M. Cotton was raised in Merseyside and holds a Bachelor of Science in Evolutionary Anthropology. Her fascination with genetics, human evolution, and resilience informs her fiction, where science and storytelling merge in raw, character-driven narratives. A neurodiverse writer with a strong awareness of mental health, she brings authenticity and empathy to her work—particularly in exploring the hidden struggles of men and the resilience that emerges from them. Her debut series, Warborn, blends academic depth with a love of found-family bonds, loyalty under fire, and the fierce, fragile ways people survive love and loss. Grounded in Liverpool’s grit and humour, her stories are visceral yet tender, cinematic yet intimate. When she isn’t writing, she’s lost in music, tracing her Celtic roots, or enjoying family life—usually with a book in one hand and strong coffee in the other.
