In 2013 Nathan self published a short fiction collection, Purge. His debut novel The World Is (Not) A Cold Dead Place was published by Armley Press in 2015. His second novel, Out Of The City was published in 2017, again by Armley Press. His second collection of self-published short stories, Everything Falls Apart was released in November 2018. The Last Sane Man On Earth, the sequel to The World Is (Not) A Cold Dead Place was published on 22nd May 2020. He has written about politics, culture, football and men's mental health and wellbeing for Byline Times, The New European, men's Fitness, Four Four Two, Metro, Morning Star, Sabotage Times and Clash Music. He co-founded the independent publishing press Obliterati Press, who published seven books, and co-hosts the football podcast F*ck Off Everton.
Nathan's first full-length work of non-fiction, Succession: Colin Harvey And His Time As Everton Manager is due out August 3rd '26 through Pitch Publishing.
