Nick grew up in Clinton, Iowa, where he spent more time than was good for him immersed in Max Brand, Louis L’Amour, and Zane Grey westerns. He studied history at the University of Iowa and worked on an MBA at St. Ambrose University.
Now, his greatest pleasure is writing about his old friends from American history and turn of the century crime dramas.
