Norma Pyper Mitchell grew up in the Rocky Mountains with a desire to ride horses, become a concert pianist, and write books. After several years of serious piano study, she married a cowboy, followed him horseback over numerous mountain trails, gave up a concert career to raise seven children, and fulfilled her dream of becoming a writer after retiring from her job as a Special Education teacher. She currently lives in the Rocky Mountains where she shares her home with a melodious piano, a quirky computer, and the neighbor's cat.
