Oliver Morrison was born in Venezuela, but moved to Houston, Texas as a child, where his father worked in the oil industry. Following that the family moved to the UK, to the small town of Oswestry. He still lives there today, with his father and step-mother and his Staffordshire Bull terrier, Kasey.
In his day job, Oliver works as a Parts Advisor for a ground care company, specialising in quad bikes and utility equipment, as well as mowing equipment for both the professional and domestic markets. But in 2020 he survived the worst year of his life, where he suffered a broken rib, collapsed lung and pneumonia, then had to cope with the Covid-19 pandemic. He then had a brain haemorrhage caused by a double aneurysm, which resulted in a blood clot on the brain and a stroke during the operation that saved his life.
Despite this he somehow managed to retain his sense of humour and developed an amazing positivity which aided his recovery and saw him write a book about his experiences just 3 months later.
In his free time, Oliver enjoys walking his dog, night clubbing, Dj’ing as Oliver Twisted, playing golf and watching films. He is also interested in the self-publishing industry and invests in crypto currencies, which he hopes will become an eventual source of wealth.
In the future Oliver wants to carry on with the creative side of life, writing and working in the music industry. His experiences in 2020 have led him to become acutely aware that others who have suffered from similar traumas in their lives may not have dealt with them quite as successfully and he is keen to help them heal in whatever way he can.
