Raúf is the multi-award-winning, Sunday Times bestselling author of such modern classics as The Boy at the Back of the Class, The Star Outside My Window, The Night Bus Hero, The Lion Above the Door, The Letter with the Golden Stamp, and The Game I Will Never Forget, amongst others. When not thinking up stories at her home in in London, Onjali can be found in the refugee camps of northern France; taking flying lessons in tiny planes, or running along the corridors of parliament trying to lobby MPs on behalf of the rights of women and girls, homeless communities, and refugees of war, political persecution and climate change. All of her stories are inspired by real-life s/heroes she has the honour of meeting and working with through Making Herstory and O's Refugee Aid Team (her not-for-profit organisations), and the many children she meets who are bravely challenging racisms and sexisms in their own, unique ways.
