Penelope Przekop is a literary writer whose work moves through fiction, painting, poetry, essays, and memoir-fragments. Across forms, her work returns to the hidden self: inherited stories, private longing, faith, grief, art, memory, and the difficult work of becoming whole.
Her novels explore identity, family wounds, longing, faith, grief, and the hidden forces that shape a life. Her fiction is psychological and emotionally layered, often following characters caught between who they have been told to be and who they are struggling to become.
Her visual work extends the same inquiry. Through figurative expressionism, Penelope creates paintings that explore women’s inner lives—resilience, vulnerability, concealment, exposure, memory, and transformation. Her paintings have been exhibited in galleries, museums, and art spaces across the United States, Europe, and Central America, and her work has been acquired by museum collections in Italy.
Alongside her creative work, Penelope has spent decades in pharmaceutical quality, systems, and leadership. That professional life informs her interest in structure, discipline, performance, and the visible systems people build around hidden human needs.
Her books include the novels Please Love Me, Aberrations, Centerpieces, and Dust, as well as nonfiction and writing-process work.
