Razvan Stanciu is a film director and author who is fascinated by narrative structure and the unyielding nature of order. In 2006, he stepped into the film industry at Carter Films, discovering that careers often begin with humble tasks and a pocket dictionary of technical terms. He worked with directors and producers from Romania and abroad, climbing a ladder with unevenly named steps: props, production assistant, video assistant, editor, director’s assistant, film producer, and eventually, film director.
After graduating from the University of Film and Television in Bucharest in 2012, he began to see film not just as a profession but as a way of understanding where meaning hides when it doesn’t volunteer to be found. His interests sit somewhere between film production, visual storytelling, and personal development, fields where order and psychology meet, collide, and occasionally explain each other.
He has lived in Belgium since 2021 and is releasing his first book, The Art of Taming Chaos, in December 2025 as the opening volume in a six-book series. Readers curious to know whether life can be edited like a film might find a few provisional answers.
