The Red Pen Men are an independent horror collective focused on dark fiction rooted in folklore, psychological dread, religious horror, and the quiet unraveling of ordinary people.
Their stories explore the moments where guilt, violence, faith, grief, and human nature collide with something larger and less forgiving. Drawing inspiration from rural Americana, old superstitions, generational trauma, and mythic horror, their work blends grounded realism with escalating supernatural terror.
Their works include the horror anthology The Red Ledger, the standalone short The Cardinal Sin, and the screenplays The Devout and The Heretic.
The Devout received a 7/10 overall score on The Black List and has earned recognition from multiple horror screenplay competitions and festivals for its blend of theological horror, psychological tension, and tragic storytelling.
Known for atmospheric storytelling and morally charged horror, the Red Pen Men create fiction where consequences linger long after the final page.
