Richard Authier Lee worked in broadcasting, newspaper and wire service reporting and nonprofit management. He has a degree in Communications from the University of New Hampshire, earned in a previous century, back when communications was "a thing."
He grew up in Hanover, NH, working part-time at the Nugget Theater, a local landmark movie house managed by his grandfather. His writing caries a visual sense of place and draws on a stubborn belief in the quirky dignity of everyday people.
He lives in Holyoke, Massachusetts with his wife Norma and their beagle, Scout, who is blithely unaware that he is a dog.
