Richard L. Coleman is a Writer, Photographer, Filmmaker, based in New York City. His passion for the written word began in High school, there he first discovered his joy for writing. He then developed a profound appreciation for reading, and writing Poetry at Essex County College Newark New Jersey, where he studied Psychology.
Complications In The Spirit Realm is Richard’s first Novel in a two part Novella series. The story was developed from an original screenplay written in 2006. After several Beta Readers suggested that the story might be better served as a novel, the screenplay was re written and developed into a manuscript for publication.
His first documentary “Adventures In Clubland,” was shot on 16mm Film, Production extended for five years, from 1992 -1997. This documentary is soon to be re- released, including new vintage footage with Personality up-dates. Richard has also Produced and Directed several music videos for Trainwreck Records, featuring Chip Taylor, famed music Producer and Songwriter of the Hit song “Wild Thang” performed by The Troggs, as well as other Hits for both Hendrix and Janis Joplin in the sixties.
Richard is currently writing Part II of Complications In The Spirit Realm scheduled for 2019.
