Robby Atwood is an author, blogger and speaker with a passion for helping people encounter the love of the Father, Son, and Spirit and discover a faith rooted in freedom rather than fear.
Growing up in a Christian home, Robby surrendered his life to Jesus at an early age. After wandering from his faith during part of his teenage years, a life-changing encounter with God at seventeen forever altered the course of his life and awakened a passion to follow Jesus and participate in what God was doing in the world.
For nearly twelve years, Robby served as a worship and prayer leader in his home church in Somerset, Kentucky. In 2006, that journey led him to establish a house of prayer, where he spent the next sixteen years alongside an incredible community of people cultivating worship and prayer while helping others grow in their identity in Christ.
At the beginning of 2023, Robby stepped into a new season centered around writing, speaking, blogging, and podcasting. At the heart of his work is a desire to help people see God through the person of Jesus and move beyond fear, shame, and distorted pictures of the Father.
He is the author of Fascinated: Living in Awe of the Father and Leaving Fear Behind: Putting an End to End Time Fear. Through his books and other writings, Robby explores themes of identity, belonging, the goodness of God, the finished work of Christ, and the hope of the Kingdom.
Robby lives in Somerset, Kentucky, with his wife, Misty. They have two children, Luke and Olivia, and a granddaughter, Harper Kate, who has them completely smitten.
When he isn't writing, Robby enjoys spending summers on the lake, fall in the mountains, celebrating all things Christmas, and playing as much golf as possible. An avid golfer and unapologetic fanatic of the sport, the golf course is his home away from home.
