Robin discovered the power of storytelling while teaching writing to elementary school students. Her passion for the written word led her to become the co-creator, writer, and co-editor of Top Spin, a regional tennis magazine.
Her love of family history and adventure inspired her to write her family memoir, The Big Ranch in the Ozarks: A Journey of the Greatest Generation. Spanning five decades, the book begins during the Great Depression and World War II before moving into Robin’s childhood memories of life on a 2,000-acre horse and cattle ranch in the Missouri Ozarks.
At the heart of the memoir is her father, Glen Erwin, whose extraordinary life included serving in a major Marine battle in the South Pacific during World War II. After the war, he embarked on an adventurous solo flight in a biplane across the Atlantic Ocean to Europe, continuing on to Egypt, Sudan, and Pakistan. He spent a year living among villagers, teaching them how to improve crop management using aircraft. The memoir brings his remarkable journey to life through personal letters he sent home, along with letters written during the war.
In 2026, Robin published the first book in her children’s series, The Adventures of Lucy the Country Club Cat. The debut book, Lucy the Country Club Cat, is a heartwarming true story about a stray cat who finds love and a forever home at a country club. Book two, Lucy the Barn Cat, followed in October 2026. The third book, a bilingual edition of Lucy the Country Club Cat, features both English and Spanish text on every page, bringing Lucy’s story to an even wider audience.
Robin now lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she continues to share her love of storytelling through family history and children’s books.
