Robin discovered the power of storytelling after teaching writing to elementary school students. That passion led her to become the co-creator, writer, and co-editor of the regional tennis magazine, Top Spin. Robin's writing journey continued with a "tongue in cheek" blog, called nurseracquet, with funny tennis stories, later evolving into more serious articles. Her love for family history and adventure led her to write her family memoir, The Big Ranch in the Ozarks, A Journey of the Greatest Generation. The book spans five decades starting in the Great Depression, World War II, progressing into Robin's childhood memories living on a 2,000 acre horse and cattle ranch in the Missouri Ozarks. Her father, Glen Erwin, had unique adventures including a major Marine battle in the South Pacific. After the war, her father flew a bi-plane alone over the Atlantic Ocean to Europe. His flight took him from Europe to Egypt, Sudan, and Pakistan. He lived for a year with villagers teaching them how to manage crops with the use of an airplane. Personal letters were included in the book detailing his trip, as well as letters sent home from the war. In 2026, Robin published her first children's book, Lucy the Country Club Cat, a heartwarming true story about a stray cat who finds love and a forever home at a country club. Robin now lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
