Ron Plante is a Search and Rescue Coordinator for the US Coast Guard and author. He has worked for the Coast Guard for nearly 20 years. Born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA he has since lived in numerous places including Honolulu, Hi; Miami, FL; and now resides in Charleston, SC with his family. He enjoys reading and writing thriller mysteries. Historical detectives in the vain of Sam Spade and Phillip Marlowe are what helped ignite The Duke Dempsey Mysteries. Some of his authors of inspiration include Dan Brown, Iain King, Dashiell Hammett, and Raymond Chandler.
