As a management consultant for more than three decades I have written for business, conveying principles through stories. My clients have earned several billion with my counsel (ignoring one trillion-dollar misfortune). I have deep experience bringing peace in a world of bullies. I also know how it feels to fail and, with no power, how to get things done.
Business is a vocation; telling stories is one's nature. Mary, my wife, and I participate as multiple characters in semi-autobiographical novels. We also play roles in novels exploring historical turning points in which our ancestors participated. Mary and I are the parents of six children and 15 grandchildren. We have lived in California, Idaho, Maine, Massachusetts, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
