Born and raised in Tampa FL, now residing in Nashville TN, (Steven Tobi) is best known as founding member and lead guitarist for the Alternative Rock group “The Nearly Deads”. While the band, musical side project (TØBI) and composing for films (Fatherless, Virtually in Love, Eat Your Heart Out) make up the bulk of his credits, his passion for the creative arts spans to every corner of the field. Working with several up and coming directors in the independent film industry, he was encouraged to exercise his creativity by writing screen plays of his own. It was this new endeavor, unexpected life events and his love of science fiction and horror that inspired the creation of his debut novella (The Broken Man).
