SL McGinnis creates dark fantasy worlds filled with ancient magic, impossible choices, and characters who cope with impending doom through sarcasm and poor life decisions. She firmly believes suffering builds character—especially fictional ones. Readers are advised to get attached responsibly. She spent years in school for a MFA in Creative Writing through Southern New Hampshire University, and now spends her days jotting down story ideas and raising dogs on her mini farm. As a WA transplant to East TX, she finds joy in the winter and hibernates during the heat of the summer.
