I’ve been a reader since I was seven and a writer since I was ten, which means I have been emotionally attached to fictional characters for most of my life.

By sixteen, I had written hundreds of stories and a few full novels, all of which live somewhere between old notebooks, forgotten documents, and the kind of late-night ambition that thrives on caffeine and questionable decisions.

Then life happened. Nursing, family, chasing a career, starting a family of my own. Writing got pushed to the side, as it so often does when real life starts demanding your full attention. But the dream never actually went away. It just got louder.

Because I wanted more. More stories about chronic illness that felt real. More characters who didn’t have to pretend everything was fine. More representation that didn’t fade into the background, but existed fully, messily, and unapologetically in fiction and mainstream media.

When I’m not writing, I’m usually baking, watching the sunset like I’m in a soft indie film, or listening to the waves and pretending I have my life together. I love Japanese anime, manga, and 90s sitcoms that I refuse to emotionally move on from. I also have a long-standing and deeply committed relationship with peanut M&M’s.

At the end of the day, I’m still the same person who fell in love with books at seven. I just finally decided to stop waiting and start telling my own stories.
