A wife, mother of two active boys and native of North Georgia, Sarah Olver was raised running barefoot on rich red clay. However, it wasn’t until Olver moved to Ontario, where she and her husband purchased their first home, that she discovered her love for gardening. Together with her husband, Olver has transformed the front and backyards of many homes adding curb appeal and dramatically increasing their value. Over the last fifteen years, what began as a simple, backyard landscape project has grown into a full-fledged passion for not only growing gorgeous perennials, but also growing and harvesting organic produce. In addition to transforming many of her own home gardens and feeding entire neighborhoods with her organic veggies and herbs, Olver is often sought after for garden growing advice from friends and family. Throughout the spring, Olver can always be found, coffee in hand, walking her gardens in the early morning. While there are countless garden experts making valuable contributions to the horticultural scene, Olver brings a refreshingly practical, girl-next-door vibe with just the right amount of useful information to give the average Joe confidence to get their hands dirty. With fifteen years of garden experience in both Canada and Georgia, Olver weaves together extensive reading and sage wisdom from both Master Gardeners and green-thumb enthusiasts across eastern North America into an easy to read, easy to understand and unintimidating package.
