Scott Hobbs has been in full-time ministry for over 30 years,
preaching, teaching, pastoring, and leading worship. With a heart to
help people encounter the freedom and abundant life found through
the love of the Father, Scott ministers through passionate worship,
music, teaching, and the creative arts.
Scott and his wife, Lisa, are both graduates of Emmanuel College in
Franklin Springs, GA, where they earned their Bachelor of Science in
Christian Ministries. In 1994, they founded Higher Place Ministries.
They also helped plant and serve at Maranatha Christian Fellowship
in Wilmington, NC, where Scott served as the youth and worship
pastor, and Lisa as the children’s ministry and worship arts director
for seven years. From 2006 to 2010, Scott served as the Worship Arts
Pastor at Eagle’s Nest Fellowship in Milton, DE. He currently serves
as the senior pastor of Liberty Christian Fellowship in the Outer
Banks of North Carolina.
Scott's first book, The More Excellent Way, was published in 2018
and has been an encouragement to many, serving as both a devotional
and small group material for local churches.
