I have always loved reading and writing. Turkish authors, world literature, the classics, and books have been my lifelong refuge and inspiration. Yet I didn’t build my career as a writer. I followed a corporate path, while writing remained my greatest joy, quietly living as a personal passion for many years.
In 2016, we founded one of Turkey’s first independent publishing houses. Continuing our work in the United States brought me back to the heart of what I love most: books and the people who write them. When I moved to America, I noticed something that stayed with me, children growing up abroad had very limited resources to learn about Atatürk and Turkish culture. There were very few children’s books about Atatürk, and virtually none in English.
In 2025, I finally had the chance to bring a long-held dream to life. My series, Following Atatürk Through Time, is the first step in a larger journey that will expand into multiple collections. The first series includes four books, published in both Turkish and English. Next, I will be writing a Turkish culture series, also in two languages, to help children everywhere stay connected to their roots.
For me, these books are more than stories. They are small bridges, between countries, between generations, and between the past and the future.
