Shauna Roberts (1956-) was born in Dayton, Ohio, and grew up in nearby Beavercreek. After receiving degrees in anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia) and Northwestern University (Evanston, IL), she was an award-winning science and medical writer and copyeditor until she retired in 2010.
She now lives in North Carolina in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. She writes historical fiction, science fiction, fantasy, and romance. A 2009 graduate of the Clarion Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Workshop, she was the 2011 winner of the Speculative Literature Foundation's Older Writer Grant.
