I started working on my first book when I was fourteen years old. I had a pink notebook that I carried around with me to all of my classes, and I scribbled lines of dialogue on the eraser-marked lines every chance I got (particularly during biology). I knew that I wanted to write books and put them out into the world, and I got the chance to do just that when Wild Child Publishing published "Lady Thief" while I was in college.
Fast forward a few years, and I got back the rights to that first book, re-released it, and decided to try publishing on my own. I'd gone to college to get a degree in editing, so I knew how to format books. Turns out I love doing it! With each new book, I feel like my writing only improves.
It's been over a decade since I decided to jump into self-publishing. In that time, I've come to love the little fandom that has grown around my dragon books, and I've been grateful that some have been willing to come with me as I try other genres, too.
It all started with a pink notebook. Now, I'm several books in, and I feel like I'm still reaching for the stars!
