Shoba Rao is a debut novelist with My Race Against Death being her first memoir. She was born and raised in the southern part of India and currently lives in the Bay Area of California with her husband. She is a Distinguished Toastmaster and often shares her life journey in various speeches, focusing on inspirational speeches with a humorous touch. As a three time cancer survivor and a kidney transplant recipient, she had always wanted to give back to the community and her debut book is one step towards that.
