Susan Helene wrote her first book in sixth grade. It took a while for her to return to this first love. Along the way, she lived in five states and became a teacher, mother, wife, ceramicist, and Tai Chi instructor before brushing off her keyboard. Collections: Stories of Unexpected Encounters, is her second short story collection. Womenscape: Selected Stories of Eclectic Women, was published in 2022. She had published several short stories, poems, and memoirs in journals and anthologies.
