There are no ‘social determinants of health' under capitalism. Nothing about this society generates health for people or their environments. On the contrary, the social sources of sickness are woven into the fabric of society. Inequality, racism, sexism – these social sources of sickness helped to build the wealth of nations, and they continue to build and maintain that wealth, despite the tremendous suffering that results.
The capitalist class are driving humanity over a cliff, and we must all decide – will we go down with them or will we choose a different road? Our children deserve a future, and it is our responsibility to make sure they have one.
