Susan Stoderl began her first career in opera as a singer, chorister, arranger, conductor, music director, and administrator. She then turned to writing the music and words for three operas and four song cycles. After living in New York City for many years, she now lives in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Susan is now in her third career as a writer in Asheville, North Carolina. Besides her middle-grade series, “Sophia of the Bright Red Sneakers,” she writes her blog, “Scribbles & Thoughts,” and a serial historical romance/mystery entitled “Eleven Days Toward Death.”
