Sydney Philippe is the pen name of Julian Sydney Wright
Julian originally studied agriculture and researched irrigation systems for hot climates. He worked as a project manager for a large company before becoming a school teacher and a lecturer in Higher Education. Over several years, he developed a significant software product called the Growing Plants Interactive Encyclopaedia, which is used by horticulturists around the world. Julian has written many articles with a particular focus on the environmental issues facing S.E. Asian countries such as Indonesia and the Philippines. In England, he lives in the City of Bath. He is married to Jhell and they have a young son called Philippe.
