Tammy grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin and dreamed of writing and illustrating childrens books since childhood. She went to college for illustration at Winona state University. She spent 17 years as a surgical technologist. After retiring she fulfilled her dream with her first childrens book written for her first grandson. Tammy also enjoys working in her multiple gardens, playing the piano and making gourmet meals out of leftovers.
