Thaddeus Hawthorne Grey, PhD is a former deputy medical examiner and funeral director. He has taught courses in physical anthropology, anatomy and physiology, embalming techniques, and chemical procedures in medical examination and the art of human preservation. Now semi-retired, he works as a consultant with private law enforcement agencies in Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington D.C. When he has time, he writes for pleasure. Thaddeus lives in Groningen, Netherlands six months out of the year, in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, and in Northern Florida during the winter seasons. He and his wife, Gwendolyn, live with their two Bombay cats, Grimalkin and Tanith.
