Tim Young is an American author living in France. His young adult novel, The Hand on the Wall, follows a girl who wakes up fifteen thousand years in the past, among the family she was born into. It draws on the prehistoric landscapes and painted caves of his adopted home, and on years spent farming, foraging, and living self-sufficiently. He is also the author of Poisoned Soil, a supernatural thriller set on a cursed Cherokee mountainside, and of nonfiction including Start Prepping, The Accidental Farmers, and Playful Preparedness. Away from his writing desk, he’s usually exploring France, tackling a house project, or wrestling with the French language.
