Tom Benenson, having survived Pearl Harbor as an eight month old, graduated, in succesion, from Wheaton High School in Maryland, Beloit College (with a BS in Biology) ,and the Univertiy of North Carolina (with an MA in Drama). After a two-year stint in the US Army, he attended NYU's Graduate Institute of Film and Televison.Done with formal education, Tom spent four years as a filmmaker at Bell Labs. Having learned to fly on the GI Bill, Tom became a flight instructor and began writing for Aviation International News and Flying magazine. A visit to a cattle ranch in South Dakota reinvigorated his interest in horses and led to owning black baldy cattle and three quarter horses, two of which he trained, and one he used for team roping. Tom now lives in Oaxaca, Mexico, with his dog Mosa.
