Tom Stewart is a Canadian novelist living on the coast of Tofino, Vancouver Island. His debut novel Immortal North won the WIBA Award for Best Fiction Novel and Rubery International Award for Best Fiction Novel. Raised near Winnipeg, Stewart studied literature and philosophy at the University of Manitoba, worked in Canada’s north as a fishing and hunting guide, oil‑rig roughneck, and bush‑plane pilot before turning to writing.
