Troy Duffy burst into Hollywood in 1997 when The Boondock Saints earned him a Miramax deal and a USA Today cover story. As both writer and director, his cult classic spawned a devoted global fanbase that continues growing 25 years later. In Elementary school, Duffy's writing talent emerged early as he won statewide contests, and his reading tastes were influenced by his father's introduction to classic literature.
His early success with The Boondock Saints led to The Boondock Saints II a decade later, establishing a franchise with comics, merchandise and over 1.3 million fan tattoos. The iconic Irish brothers Connor and Murphy MacManus (Norman Reedus, Sean Patrick Flanery) became cultural phenomena as God-inspired vigilantes. After many years of screenwriting, Duffy has penned his first novel, The Boondock Saints Vol. 1: Blood Origin, offering fans a deeper journey into the Brothers MacManus world.
