Dr. Valerie Behiery's writing has often been devoted to the arts, specializing in artists from minoritized communities, Middle Eastern and African, in particular. It has appeared in peer-reviewed journals, books, online magazines, art catalogues and encyclopedias. Valerie has also co-authored one book on Islam. She has fairly recently co-edited “Muslim-American Writers at Home."
