About the Author, Wayne Sherrard, Author and Artist
Wayne Sherrard grew up in a Royal Canadian Air Force family and lived on seven different military air bases before he turned eighteen. He became a Queen Scout as a teenager and when in college spent a glorious summer working in Jasper National Park. Wayne went on to become an electrical engineer, which often took him into Canada’s fascinating, beautiful, and unforgiving Arctic. While running a high-tech manufacturing company, he began writing manuals for his products, fell in love with writing, and started to study creative writing and reading of the great authors. When he’s not writing and reading, he’s painting contemporary art, which you can find on his personal site. Wayne is now retired from engineering and lives in Edmonton, Alberta with his wife and muse Eileen, with whom he shares three adult children and three grandchildren. His first book, “Really, Granddad?” was published in 2020. His second book, “That Summer in Jasper Park” was published in August 2025. He is currently working on his third book.
