My books reflect my interests, which are diverse -- everything from opera and "serious" theater to comic books and monster movies -- and a lot of things in-between. I have also been a reporter, a talk show host, an activist, and a blogger. I was born in Manhattan where I live, and it is a city I love, whose energy always excites and inspires me.
