Wm Todd Hudson-Waldstein spent eight years as a Microsoft
Solution Developer, building decision-support systems for
Fortune 500 and other organizations — embedded intelligence
that predated what we now call AI. Following a change in
health that ended his full-time career, he returned to school to
study neuroscience formally at the Canadian Centre for
Behavioral Neuroscience.

The Big History Bedtime Series grew out of a much older habit:
telling his own children scientific stories with values folded
quietly inside them, long before he thought of writing any of it
down. That habit, and a lasting fascination with cosmology and
evolutionary biology, became this book.

He currently lives in Penticton, British Columbia, where he
divides his time between family, sustainable food production,
and the next trip to visit grandchildren — who are just
becoming old enough to begin hearing the same kinds of stories
all over again.
