In poetry, we find solace, we find beauty, and above all, we find ourselves. Poetry is an invitation to authenticity, vulnerability, and bravery. Poetry invites us to dive into the depths of our souls where shadows and light dance in eternal harmony. My hope is that we feel the depth of the pain we experience so we might feel the wholeness of healing. Through poetry I reclaimed my voice, my birthright, and my birth name. Letter by letter, word by word, I am reminded that in my darkest moments, love has always illuminated my path and guided me through the shadows and into the light.
