Publisher's Summary
Stephen "Steve-O" Glover—social media icon, comedy-touring stalwart, and star of Jacka-s—delivers a hilarious and practical guide to recovery, relationships, career, and how to keep thriving long after you should be dead.
Steve-O is best known for his wildly dangerous, foolish, painful, embarrassing, and sometimes death-defying stunts. At age 48, however, he faces his greatest challenge yet: getting older. A Hard Kick in the Nuts: What I’ve Learned from a Lifetime of Terrible Decisions is a captivating exploration of life and how to live it by an individual who has already lived way more than a lifetime’s worth of extreme experiences. Steve-O grapples with the right balance between maturity and staying true to yourself, not repeating your “greatest hits,” maintaining sobriety and a healthy regimen, avoiding selfishness, and finding the right partner for life.
Having built a gargantuan and loyal social media following while establishing a successful stand-up career—all after a couple of decades of dubious behavior—Steve-O is proof that anyone can find meaning and fulfillment in life, no matter what path they choose. Packed with self-deprecating wit and gruelingly earned wisdom, A Hard Kick in the Nuts will reverberate with listeners everywhere who have lived a lot (sometimes too much) and are now wondering how to approach the years to come. Or maybe just need some good motivation to get out of bed tomorrow. One of many tips: Be your own harshest critic, then cut yourself a break, and enjoy this book.
PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

Professional Idiot: Leftovers
I love Steveo, been following him for 20 years. I loved his first book Professional Idiot, everyone can enjoy it. This book, A Hard Kick In The Nuts, holds some great wisdom and is sometimes entertaining, but I can not recommend it to people who are not already fans of Steveo. Don't forget to check out his podcast Wild Ride, there's some dope guests.

Steve O is out of touch
Steve O needs to remember that the majority of his audience aren’t rich and famous people so giving us advice through his stories comes across as some rich famous prick who can get whatever he wants at the snap of his fingers acting as though he’s “struggled”. Sure, he’s struggled with addiction, absolutely. Every last one of his problems are just… silly. The sex addiction thing, ok I see how it could be a problem but the rest of us little guys are lucky to get laid once or twice a year by a land whale. Marriage is out of the question nowadays.

Lifelong Steve-O Fan
Whether it be from making my own Jackass inspired, stupidity filled videos, to Wild Ride, or his books; Steve-O has been an inspiration to me for 20+ years now. Seeing him get sober definitely helped me “keep my nose clean” too, and turn my own life around.
Thank you, Steve-O.
Yeah dude!

A man we thought would be dead
Great look from a perspective few have, solid advice for younger nut jobs.
Steve-o is genuinely humbling to listen to, Im old enough to have seen his earliest stuff, and what he's done in life now and his honest yet brash recount of the how's and why's is riddled with gems for people who might find other 'self-help' books to clinical or judgemental.
if you've followed him or don't know him since Jackass and his early stunts, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
